This is my personal interpretation of the way Jesus taught us to pray, (The Lord’s Prayer), in accordance with Matthew Chapter 6 verses 9 to 13 |
Father, God, in heaven above
Teach me how to pray;
Give me a willing heart to know
And do your will each day.
Oh Lord, provide my every need,
You’ve promised that you will.
Help me to rest and just enjoy
Your presence and be still.
Forgive me Lord when I do wrong ,
And give me strength to see
That when I have been wronged
I must forgive, as you do me.
And Lord, please give me daily help
When tempting thoughts persist,
And when my conscience tells me “NO!”
Please help me to resist.
For Lord I know you always were
And evermore will be
The King of all; Almighty God;
My personal deity.
