Fun with Poetry

For me, this is just what poetry does. It is all about playing with words, and painting a picture with them, either for fun or to get serious.  It makes you look deeper than the surface, and to use language to help others see the same too.

The aim of this website is simply to have fun with poetry and to encourage you to do the same too.  I have tried to provide ideas and poetry for primary school teachers, children, and beginners  who, like me, simply enjoy reading and/or writing poetry, especially children’s poems.  Choose the appropriate page above to see how you can have fun with poetry as a child, teacher or beginner, or feel free to use my Christian poetry in your church services etc.  On the other hand, if you would like to just go straight to the poems without explanation or teaching, you can get to them directly by using the poem categories above (some poems will, of course, fit into more than one category so there will be some duplications within categories.)  All of my poems are listed in alphabetical order of their title in the Poem Index towards the top right of the page.
