Easter Poems
This is a fun Easter performance poem intended to be read by a teacher to the children at school on the morning when Easter bunny has visited! It’s based on my memory of the paw prints left in our classroom each year when we found our Easter egg in class.
Last night we had a visitor
Who called upon our school.
They usually come in the day
(That is the general rule).
But this one left some messages,
A sign for all to see.
He hopped right through the window
So he didn’t need a key!
He landed on the windowsill
And left some muddy prints,
Then walked across the sandpit
And left little tiny dints.
Then out he jumped, and left some
Extra paw prints on the floor,
Leading us across the room
And to the corridor.
The cleaners won’t be happy
When they see the awful mess!
At least he comes just once a year;
Who is he? Can you guess?
That’s right, it’s Easter bunny.
He left some Easter eggs
As he went jumping all around
On giant leaping legs.
He’s left one for the teacher.
He left one for me too.
But more importantly, I think
He’s left an egg for you!
