Consonant Classes
This silly alliteration poem does not use the usual repeating initial letters as alliteration ,but instead repeats the consonants and consonants blends, to demonstrate a specific type of alliteration called consonance. It also includes one element of onomatopoeia.
Debra the Zebra did consonance classes
And Rodger the Badger did too;
Murtle the Turtle joined in the learning
In class at the consonance zoo.
The weather was awful, the rain pitter pattered
And kept ratter-tatting all day
The consonance classes continued indoors
As no-one could go out to play.
