This is a lovely way to encourage and uplift someone by reminding them that they are in your thoughts, and also that God sees all that they do. It is especially appropriate to give out at a Mothering Sunday service as a gift, or simply on those occasions when someone, for whatever reason, feels un-noticed. It is a small, but effective pastoral gift which will fit in a standard office envelope (110 x 220mm) if you cannot call in person. This is how the poem begins:
It’s easy to feel un-noticed
Not knowing there’s someone to care
To quietly blend in the background,
Assuming that no-one’s aware.
But nothing you do goes un-noticed.
Wherever you are, God is there
Sharing your every moment:
A God whose love cannot compare…..etc
The reverse of the bookmark quotes the words of the wellknown children’s hymn “Wide, wide as the ocean, high as the heavens above, deep, deep as the deepest sea is my Saviour’s love” etc as well as quoting the bible’s inspiration for the hymn, Ephesians 3 verse 18.
