Okay, so I’m not the first to giggle at the word that Nintendo chose to use, but it was the perfect pun example and was crying out to be used as word play so I couldn’t help myself.
Soon it’s my husband’s birthday
He really wants a Wii.
That’s all he ever asks for,
He keeps reminding me.
“You could all club together.”
“Okay; we’ll have to see.”
He keeps on nagging all the while
“I’m desperate for a Wii!”
He’s even asked the neighbours round
To have a cup of tea,
Then grumbled to them saying
“She won’t let me have a Wii!”
My children are concerned now;
They’ve not seen this before.
He trails me to the bathroom
And hammers on the door.
“Just let me in and listen”
He pesters constantly.
“I hardly ask for anything,
I SIMPLY WANT A WII!”
Now that’s inflation for you;
He can’t just spend a penny.
He wants a Wii and it will cost us
Oh so very many.
His birthday is approaching
So what am I to do
I’ll give him a big bonus
And let him have a p…o.o.ps…sorry,
got the last verse wrong, it should read……
His birthday is approaching
So what am I to say
I’ll give him a big bonus;
And let him have a play.
(Just a Wii one!)
