This imaginative piece of flower poetry is full of imagery with moments of alliteration throughout.

The Bluebell Ball is here again,
The dance floor’s overflowing
With regal ladies proudly dressed,
Their rich blue ball gowns flowing.

Announcing her arrival, of course, you know her well:
The beautifully delicate… Lady of the Dell.

The ladies are announced to all
As each one joins the scene.
The ball becomes the brightest
And the best there’s ever been.

Announcing her arrival, the ever-youthful bud:
Uplifting with her presence… the Lady of the Wood.

With every curtsy, humbly low,
Comes splendour and finesse
For bluebell ladies all adorn
The grace of a princess.

Announcing her arrival, her elegance displayed:
The ever-smiling, picturesque… Lady of the Glade.

Then finally the moment comes;
The reason for the ball
Is now declared to every guest
Who’s present; one and all.

Announcing her arrival….Your Majesty, please tell:
Who has this year’s honour of the title “Best Blue Belle?”
