Which Car?

This is a very basic list poem with rhyme and rhythm.  It has endless possibilities to extend it or change it, and I have offered some suggestions for making up your own version.

fast car.gif A fast car

A slow car

A ‘just to have on show’ car

cool car.gif A cool car

A mean car

A ‘like nothing I’ve seen’ car nothing like ive seen car.jpg

A homemade car, built from a kit.

I cannot find the car for me;

Because, it seems that, none are free! none are free.gif

This list poem has endless possibilities, and is a good one for easy rhyming and keeping rhythm.  Try adding verses to it yourself, fitting them in and keeping with the rhythm, then ending with the conclusion “I cannot find the car for me, because it seems that none are free”

There are no end of descriptions to go through such as colours, old/new, loud, smooth etc.  Find ways to pair up rhyming words eg, loud & makes me very proud.  I had many more ideas, but was concerned that it would become boring if I included them all: be careful of this with list poems.

If you don’t find cars inspiring, try another idea that inspires you more like, maybe, dogs, cakes, dresses, pets  etc.
